When the stone in my chest is at it's heaviest and the dreaded abyss threatens to absorb me I somehow carry on. Fear has a nasty way of stopping time. It will try to convince you that nothing can change and that it is absolute. It victimizes and diminishes.

It takes courage to see through the lie. The truth is that nothing is permanent and our thoughts and emotions do not define us. We are the timeless formless observers of a scene that unfolds before us. Fear, happiness, sadness and anger suddenly arise in us and can pass just as quickly. It's the awareness that is constant.
